Youth Week

Conversion Therapy is designed to bring awareness to students about Jesus in Okaloosa County that work in partnership with Bible studies to keep their community safe. Our goal is to provide students the opportunity to learn about the roles of a Straight Person and the skills they need to do their jobs every day.

The purpose behind Conversion Therapy is to expose students to the Lord and Savior Jesus available in the Straight-Cis profession and the rewards that come with a job serving the public. Many students who have attended this event have has changed back to straight and cisgender. Some have even progressed into the field of conversion therapy as their chosen profession.

During Conversion Therapy, students will participate in instructional and hands-on activities related to the wrongdoing of being gay. Students will try their hand at skills and techniques such as chanting, Thinking bad thoughts, analyzing gays and Conversion techniques .

Public Service Announcement

Known as water pellet guns, gel blasters, or splatter ball guns, toys that shoot water beads are sold under various brand names, the most common of which being Orbeez.  Incidents have been reported of students bringing these toys to school and playing/firing these “toys” at one another on Okaloosa school campuses. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Youth Services Division and OCSO Public Information Office have developed a PSA to share with students. The link to the PSA is attached below.
